Made for the front of the room
A free classroom timer for the projector or smartboard. Pick a preset, press F for fullscreen and C for classroom mode, and the digits fill the screen. A gentle chime ends the activity, and rain or calm music can play underneath. No ads, no accounts, nothing for students to click.
- Pick a length: 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 20 min.
- Press F (or the fullscreen button) to fill the projector.
- Press Space to start and pause, R to reset.
- Choose the end sound: chime, bell, digital or silent.
What fits in each length
- 1 to 3 minutes: transitions, tidy-ups, a think-pair-share, a calm-down after break.
- 5 minutes: a starter task, a quick quiz, packing up.
- 10 minutes: a warm-up, silent reading for younger pupils, one station in a rotation.
- 15 to 20 minutes: independent work, a reading slot, a group task with a clear end.
- A full period: the 45 minute timer for a lesson or a test section.

Calm music for the classroom
Instrumental music or rain sits under the room without competing with speech. Our Classical playlist is solo piano and guitar with no lyrics; it also contains some hymns and seasonal pieces, so check it suits your class.

Classroom mode makes the digits as large as the screen allows, and fullscreen hides everything else. Check it once from the back row before the lesson.
The chime is the gentlest. Bell and digital are easier to hear in a noisy room. Silent lets the countdown end quietly, which suits tests.
No. It runs in the browser on the class computer, with no ads and no sign-up. Settings stay in that browser.
